چکیده

Semiconductor detector arrays are widely used in high-temperature plasma diagnostics. They have a fast response, which allows observation of many processes and instabilities in tokamaks. In this paper, there are reviewed several diagnostics based on semiconductor arrays as cameras, AXUV photodiodes (referred often as fast “bolometers”) and detectors of both soft X-rays and visible light installed on the COMPASS tokamak recently. Fresh results from both spring and summer campaigns in 2012 are introduced. Examples of the utilization of the detectors are shown on the plasma shape determination, fast calculation of the radiation center, two-dimensional plasma radiation tomography in different spectral ranges, observation of impurity inflow, and also on investigation of MHD activity in the COMPASS tokamak discharges. Keywords—Bolometry, plasma diagnostics, soft X-rays, tokamak.

Optimization of an ultra-high-resolution rectangular pixelated parallel-hole collimator with a CZT pixelated semiconductor detector for HiRe-SPECT system

Introduction: In nuclear medicine, the use of a pixelated semiconductor detector such as CZT is an of growing interest for introducing new devices. Especially, the spatial resolution can be improved by using a pixelated parallel-hole collimator with equal holes and pixel sizes based on the pixelated detector. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of pixelated and ...

New High Resolution Thomson Scattering System for the COMPASS Tokamak

The COMPASS tokamak is being re-installed at IPP Prague after its transfer from Culham, U.K. Within the innovation, new diagnostics will be constructed, including a High Resolution Thomson Scattering System measuring electron temperature (Te) and electron density (ne) profiles. Scientific programme of the COMPASS tokamak is focused on the pedestal studies, thus the main stress will be laid on t...

Measurements of Ion Temperature in the Edge Plasma of the COMPASS Tokamak

The ion temperature was estimated using measurements provided by optical system based on the two-grating spectrometer on the COMPASS tokamak. It was done by analysis of Doppler-broadened CIII spectral lines at about 465 nm. The ion temperature in the range of 30–35 eV was measured at the plasma edge in short low-current ohmic discharges.

Design of New Optical System for Visible Plasma Radiation Measurements at COMPASS Tokamak

The paper outlines main parameters and characteristics of the currently designed multichannel optical system for visible plasma radiation measurements on the COMPASS tokamak. It based on registration of visible light in large observation angle (~70-80o) for 35 lines of sights by means of detectors (photodiode or photomultiplier array) and spectrometer. System has resolution about 1cm in vertica...

First Spectroscopic Measurements on the COMPASS Tokamak

Spectroscopic measurements were performed on the re-installed COMPASS tokamak during the first experiments. The impurity survey spectrometer HR 2000+ was used for registration of the most intense spectral lines in the 457–663nm visible range integrated over the discharge duration. The temporal evolution of integral visible light, Hα and hard X-rays intensities are measured by a photomultipliers...
